Josie Laird is a new voice in New Zealand literary circles. Her novels cover serious topics with a light touch.
Josie is a self-sufficiency enthusiast who lives on an acreage just outside Auckland, New Zealand. She has rainwater tanks, solar panels and an electric car.
When she is not writing or reading, Josie looks after her animals - chickens, cows and bees. She also has a large vegetable garden and orchard. She enjoys making jams and pickles, but ends up giving most of them away.
Josie has always been a reader, but it is only recently that she returned to writing. She has three adult sons and a bewildered husband.
